This directory will list accommodations on Clearwater Beach by categorizing the establishments on different levels. If you are looking for an economy efficiency or a luxury catered hotel you will be able to see pictures of these establishments as well as rates and methods of contacting these resorts. Many people and organizations offer different explanations on what a hotel, motel and resort are, I have given my best interpretation on the difference between these categories.
To distinguish between the two. A hotel is usually 20+ rooms consisting of a bedroom and bathroom. A restaurant located on the premises with a bar. Swimming pool and activities usually follow within a hotels amenities.
A motels, resorts, and suites on the other hand have usually 1-30 rooms, privately owned properties that have small kitchenettes located in the room. Motels can be distinguished also by efficiencies and apartments. Efficiencies usually have a small kitchenette, bedroom and living area located in one big open room, with a separated rooms for the bathroom. On the other hand an apartment has it's kitchen facility and living room area separated from the bedroom by means of a wall with connecting doors. Most of the motels offer the same amenities as the hotels accept for the restaurants. You are now invited to look at these establishments and decide for yourself which one best suits your liking. Don't just look at one establishment, look at them all!
