Warning Date: 3:21 am EST on November 26, 2014

WarningSum:...High Surf Advisory Remains In Effect From 8 Am This Morning To
4 Pm Est This Afternoon...

Warning Message:...High rip current risk remains in effect from 8 am EST this
morning through this afternoon...
* waves and surf...northwest winds will increase to 25 to 30 knots
with gusts up to gale force. These increasing winds will help to
build surf into the 4 to 5 foot range along area beaches on
  Wednesday.
* Timing...through late this afternoon.
* Impacts...rough surf and a high risk of rip currents are
  expected along area beaches today.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A high surf advisory is issued when dangerous water action is
expected along the coast. This includes rough surf...large
breaking waves...rip currents...and strong undertow.
Beach goers are urged to heed lifeguard warnings.
Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away
from shore...which occur most often at low spots or breaks in The
Sandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as groins...
jetties and piers. Heed the advice of lifeguards and the beach
patrol. Pay attention to flags and posted signs.
If you become caught in a rip current...do not panic. Remain calm
and begin to swim parallel to shore. Once you are away from the
force of the rip current...begin to swim back to the beach. Do
not attempt to swim directly against a rip current. Even a strong
swimmer can become exhausted quickly.
317 am EST Wed Nov 26 2014
...Flood Watch remains in effect until noon EST today...
The Flood Watch continues for
* a portion of west central Florida...including the following
  areas...coastal Hillsborough...coastal Manatee...coastal
  Pasco...coastal Sarasota...DeSoto...Hardee...Highlands...
  inland Hillsborough...inland Manatee...inland Pasco...inland
  Sarasota...Pinellas and Polk.
* Until noon EST today
* widespread rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches have occurred
across the area. Even small amounts of additional rainfall could
  prolong localized flooding.
* Roadways and low lying areas may still be covered with water in
poor drainage areas. Do not attempt to drive your vehicle
  through flooded roadways.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Flood Watch means that flooding is possible during the next
24 to 36 hours. Residents living in flood prone areas should take
action to protect property.
